OPENING SUMMER 26/27
Completion of the Championship Golf Course at Country Club is entering its final phase, and it promises to redefine what golf in Tasmania can be. Designed through an immersive, on the ground process with architect Robin Gibson, the course has been shaped in harmony with its natural contours, mature trees, waterways and sweeping parkland environment. Every bunker, creek line and green complex has been placed with purpose, responding to the land rather than imposing on it.
The result is Tasmania’s first true parklands championship course. Lush, strategic, beautifully framed and alive with movement. Flowing creeks, stone bridges, sculpted fairways and dramatic greens create a course that rewards smart decision making and invites golfers to think their way from tee to green. It is visually stunning, walkable, and filled with moments that shift with light, wind and season, ensuring no two rounds ever feel the same.
Crafted for golfers of every level, from serious competitors to social players and travelling golf enthusiasts, this course blends elite playing conditions with an unforgettable sense of place. It is bold. It is thoughtful. It is unlike anything else in Tasmania, and it is almost ready.

Complementing the new Championship Course is The Range, a state-of-the-art driving range and entertainment precinct that brings energy, fun and social play to the heart of the resort. With advanced tech, dedicated practice spaces and a lively bar and dining experience, The Range creates a destination within a destination.
Together, the Championship Golf Course and The Range create the most comprehensive golf environment in Tasmania, a place where players can refine their game, challenge themselves, celebrate with friends, and immerse themselves in the resort experience.
A NEW GOLF RESORT BENCHMARK
The Championship Course is just one part of a major transformation at Country Club Tasmania, a multistage masterplan that is reimagining the entire resort experience. As the course comes to life, so too does a renewed vision for Tasmania’s premier destination for golf, leisure, dining and entertainment.
From upgraded facilities and elevated guest experiences to the seamless integration of golf with accommodation, hospitality and recreation, Country Club is shaping the state’s most complete resort golf offering. It is a place where a championship round blends effortlessly into an afternoon at the pool, a long lunch, a spa treatment, or a night at the casino, all just steps from the fairways.
The masterplan is underway, with staged completion over the next 3 years.

At the heart of this new vision is Ricky Ponting, one of Australia’s most celebrated athletes and a proud Launceston local. We are thrilled to have him as the official ambassador, Ponting brings authenticity, prestige, and a genuine passion for the game. His involvement is more than symbolic; it’s a reflection of the course’s quality and its connection to the community.
